The palace of Knossos is the largest and longest-lived Minoan palace in Crete. It is located approximately 6 km. southeast of Heraklion on Kefala hill and really worth a visit!
The brilliant Minoan palace is undoubtedly the most impressive find of the ancient city, which was built in two phases, in 1900 BC. and 1700-1450 BC. and has an area of 22,000 sq.m.
